The Watershed Press, established in 2001, is dedicated to traditional and on-line publication of books and journals in literature, ecology, environmental law, medicine and public health. The Press serves primarily as the vehicle for the publication of writings by its founder, Hannah-Maria Jacques, but it also fulfills the secondary role of publishing works authored by literary artists, medical and environmental health scientists, and other professionals living throughout the world. The Watershed Press collaborates with the Bangun Indonesia Foundation (BIF), a non-profit organization which promotes literacy, education and technology in the Republic of Indonesia. Collaborative activities include web hosting and publication of works supportive of the BIF's missions. The Watershed Press also serves as the publishing agent of The Charlevoix Institute of Medical Research. The Institute is dedicated to the review of medical research in selected disciplines, and to the development of low-tech medical methods. |
